Hey, everyone!

We’ve released Driver App Version 6.13.1 on Friday, April 16, 2026.

Smarter Driver Notifications, Improved Communication, and Run Completion Reliability

This release focuses on improving real-time driver awareness, enabling better communication from non-calling devices, and resolving critical issues impacting run completion. Drivers can now clearly understand what changed in their runs without confusion, contact passengers more easily regardless of device type, and complete runs reliably without dispatcher intervention.

Key Highlights

  • Granular, action-specific driver notifications for trip changes
  • Passenger phone number visibility on non-calling devices (configuration-based)
  • Improved reliability of run completion from Driver App
  • Microsoft Clarity integration for enhanced product insights and usability improvements

Granular Driver Notifications for Run & Trip Updates

Drivers now receive clear, action-specific notifications whenever their assigned run changes—eliminating guesswork and reducing the need to contact dispatch.

What’s New?

Drivers are notified when:

  • A trip is assigned to their run
  • A trip is removed from their run
  • A trip is updated (time, address, seating needs, etc.)
  • A trip is canceled or unassigned

Notifications now include:

  • Passenger name
  • Pickup (PU) and Dropoff (DO) times
  • ETA when scheduled times are unavailable
  • Clear action labels (Assigned, Removed, Updated, Canceled)

Example Notifications:

Value Delivered

  • Eliminates ambiguity from generic “Run Updated” notifications
  • Reduces dispatcher calls for clarification
  • Improves driver confidence and real-time awareness
  • Supports safer, more informed decision-making on the road

Passenger Phone Number Display on Non-Calling Devices (Android)

Drivers using tablets or non-calling devices can now view passenger phone numbers directly—ensuring they can still contact passengers using external devices when needed.

What’s New?

Device capability is automatically detected:

  • Calling-capable devices (phones): Existing direct-call behavior remains unchanged
  • Non-calling devices (tablets): Passenger phone number is displayed clearly

When tapping Call Passenger on non-calling devices:

  • The phone number is shown instantly
  • No requirement to save contact
  • No interruption to workflow
  • Behavior is consistent across all Driver App screens (Manifest, Trip Details, etc.)

Value Delivered

  • Enables communication even on tablets and non-calling devices
  • Reduces missed pickups and delays
  • Eliminates unnecessary dispatcher involvement
  • Maintains existing seamless experience on smartphones

Improved Run Completion Reliability

We deployed an improvement where some runs were not properly closing from the Driver App after completion, causing discrepancies between driver and dispatcher views.

What’s Improved?

  • Runs now consistently transition to completed status when drivers finish them
  • Eliminates cases where dispatchers see runs as still active after driver completion

Value Delivered

  • Ensures accurate run status visibility across Driver App and Operations
  • Reduces manual intervention and follow-ups by dispatchers
  • Improves trust in real-time system state
