Hey, everyone!
We’ve released Driver App Version 6.11.0 on Monday, January 05, 2026.
Driver App Enhancements – Improved Passenger Identification, Location Clarity & Safety Controls
This release introduces a comprehensive set of enhancements to the Driver App focused on passenger identification, stop-level clarity, operational safety, and workflow simplification. These updates reduce dependency on dispatch, and support safer, more efficient trip execution.
Key Highlights
Enhanced Passenger Identification
Clear, standardized passenger details are now consistently visible across the Driver App.
- Passenger names are displayed in a standardized format:
Last Name, First Name Middle Name (Alias) - Alias is clearly labeled and shown only when available
- Passenger photos are displayed alongside names on Manifest and Trip Detail views.
- Tapping a passenger photo opens an enlarged, full-screen view for easier visual identification.
- Name and photo display remains consistent across Manifest, Trip Details, Pickup Confirmation, Route View, and other relevant screens.
- Passenger name and photo details are cached locally and remain accessible during offline scenarios for active trips.
- If a passenger photo is unavailable, a default placeholder image is shown.

Improved Stop & Location Visibility (Run Itinerary, Execute Run, Current Run, Schedule)
Drivers now have richer context for each pickup and drop-off location, reducing confusion and access-related delays.
Newly displayed details include (where available):
- Passenger full name with alias.
- Full address with Address Label (e.g. Home, Work, Clinic) & Gate code.
- Passenger Tags.
- Services & Seating needs (unchanged).
Screen Coverage:
- Run Itinerary
- Execute Run
- Current Run
- Schedule (expanded stop details)

Security & Privacy Safeguards
To protect sensitive access information:
- Gate Codes are automatically hidden once a trip or stop is completed.
- Gate Codes are excluded from historical trip views and logs accessible within the Driver App post-completion.
- Sensitive data exposure is limited strictly to the active trip lifecycle.
Passenger Tags & Warnings
Tag Visibility:
- Passenger tags (e.g., Wheelchair, Oxygen, Critical) are displayed as visual badges on assigned trips.
- Tags remain visible offline once the trip has been synced.
Warning Alerts:
- For tags marked as “Show Warning”, the Driver App now displays a prominent warning popup when:
- Arriving at pickup, or
- Arriving at drop-off
- Warning message dynamically lists all applicable tags requiring attention.
- Popup is shown once per trigger event and can be dismissed by the driver.

Companion at Appointment – Handoff Confirmation
For trips flagged as Companion at Appointment:
- Drivers are prompted with a mandatory handoff confirmation when offboarding the passenger.
- The confirmation message clearly instructs drivers to hand off the passenger to facility staff.
- Optional capture fields are provided for:
- Name of the handoff person
- Signature of the handoff person
- Provided details are saved with the trip record.
- Drivers must acknowledge the prompt before continuing, ensuring accountability and safe transfer of responsibility.

Simplified Trip Assignment Workflow
To align with updated operational processes:
- The Accept / Reject workflow has been disabled.
- The Ride Request screen is now hidden.
- Newly assigned trips automatically move to the Assigned state without requiring driver action.
This change streamlines the driver experience and ensures immediate visibility of assigned runs.
Value Delivered
- Faster and more accurate passenger identification at pickup.
- Improved driver preparedness through tags, warnings, and offline support.
- Enhanced safety and compliance for sensitive handoff scenarios.
- Streamlined driver workflow with fewer interruptions and manual steps.
