Dispatcher Control, ETA Optimization, and Integration Enhancements

This release focuses on improving dispatcher workflows, enhancing ETA job performance, and ensuring data consistency across integrations. The updates provide faster response times, smarter revival logic, and more accurate synchronization with external systems.

Key Highlights

Dispatcher Workflow Improvements

Booking Revival Confirmation Prompt

• Introduced a confirmation message when reviving cancelled bookings.
• Dispatchers are now prompted to either:
  • Reassign the booking to the same recurring run, or
  • Move it to the unassigned list.

• This enhancement prevents unintended reassignments and ensures greater control and transparency in booking management.

Performance Optimization

ETA Job Enhancement – Removal of Redis Scanning

• Issue: Redis scanning was previously used to fetch active drivers, causing significant delays (2–3 seconds per call) during peak hours.
• Fix: Replaced Redis scanning with a pre-indexed and direct lookup mechanism for faster data access.
• Outcome: Active driver retrieval now completes in milliseconds instead of seconds.
• Monitoring: Added logging and metrics to track fetch latency and ETA job execution time.

Performance Impact:

• Major reduction in ETA job latency.
• Improved scalability and responsiveness during high-traffic periods.
• Ensures timely ETA updates and smoother dispatcher and driver experience.

Pricing Rule Enhancements

City-Based Fare Calculation Variables

• PickUpCity and DropOffCity are now passed as variables to the pricing engine.
• This ensures fare computation aligns with city-specific pricing rules, improving accuracy for city-to-city routes.
• Enables flexible pricing configurations and more predictable fare outcomes for both dispatchers and passengers.

Integration Enhancement – (iCabbi)

Accurate Appointment Date Sync

• For Fleets, requested drop-off times from Tobi are now mapped to the appointment_date field in iCabbi.
• Applied during both Create and Update booking events.
• Appointment date is visible in iCabbi’s APPT field on the F8 Dispatch Menu and Load Edit Page.

Impact:

• Provides accurate visibility of passenger appointments for fleets.
• Improves coordination between dispatchers and drivers.
• Ensures iCabbi reflects the most up-to-date drop-off times from Tobi.
