Enhancements to Cancellation Charge Logic & User Experience

This release strengthens cancellation charge accuracy by leveraging improved time and reason-based rules.

Key Highlights

Enhanced Cancellation Charge Time Logic

Feature Summary:

When calculating cancellation charges using expression-based price rules, the Pricing Engine will now use the Estimated Pickup Time when Requested Pickup Time is not available.

What's Improved:

• Ensure cancellation charges can still be computed even if Requested Pickup time is missing.
• Eliminates pricing gaps or incorrect pricing.

This ensures reliable and consistent cancellation charge calculations across all trip scenarios.

Cancellation Reason-Based Charge Suppression

Feature Summary: 

Cancellation reason codes are now included for price rule evaluations — giving more control over which cancellations incur charges.

Key Enhancements:

• Cancellation reasons can now be included as part of cancellation charge expression.
• Pricing engine can now reference Cancellation reasons when processing cancellation charge rules.

Outcome:

• More flexible billing behaviors aligned with operational policies.
• Prevent passengers/accounts from being unfairly charged for business-exempt cancellations.

Removal of Seating Need Validation Warning from UI

Feature Summary:

To streamline the booking experience, the unnecessary Seating Need validation warning has been removed from the UI.

Benefits:

• Clearer and more intuitive user interface.
• Irrelevant alerts and warnings no longer interrupt workflow.
