Orion Accuracy & Reliability Enhancements

This release strengthens Orion by improving how the platform applies scheduling rules for different trip types and preventing run suggestion generation failures in scenarios that are not currently supported (such as two-man assistance routes). Dispatchers can expect more operationally valid suggestions, fewer errors, and reduced manual rework.

Key Highlights

Trip Purpose-Based Constraints for Run Suggestions

We have improved how the Driver Pane behaves when dispatchers manually assign trips, particularly when operating in Force Assignment Mode.

What's Improved:

Run Suggestions can now be configured to apply different time constraint rules based on Trip Purpose. This enables tenant-level run suggestion settings to reflect operational realities (for example, different timing tolerances for appointment-related trips vs. general transport).

Key updates include:

• Trip Purpose is now available as a configurable constraint in Run Suggestion settings.
• Trip Purpose values align with the same options used in the Booking Form.
• Dispatchers/operations teams can define time constraint values per Trip Purpose (backend-configured purposes, adjustable tolerances).

• More accurate run suggestions aligned to real operational constraints.
• Fewer invalid groupings of trips in suggested runs.
• Reduced dispatcher rework and manual corrections.
• Better support for tenant-specific workflows and business rules.

Important Note
Trip Purpose values are configured through the backend. If new Trip Purpose values are introduced or updated, corresponding adjustments may be required in Run Suggestion settings to ensure correct behavior.

Prevent Run Suggestion Failures for Two-Man Assistance Routes

What's Improved:

We fixed an issue where generating Run Suggestions could fail when a route containing two-man assistance trips was present in the operational dataset.

Since Run Suggestions do not currently support two-man assistance routing, the system now automatically filters these routes out during suggestion generation to prevent failures.
