Driver Assignment Efficiency Updates: Filter Preservation and Reset Logic

We are pleased to announce enhancements to the Driver Assignment workflow, focused on improving dispatcher efficiency, reducing repetitive actions, and creating a smoother manual assignment experience.

Key Highlights

Driver Pane Filter Persistence During Manual Assignments

We have improved how the Driver Pane behaves when dispatchers manually assign trips, particularly when operating in Force Assignment Mode.

What's Improved:

• Driver search criteria and applied filters (Driver or Vehicle) will now remain intact throughout the assignment process, allowing dispatchers to continue assigning multiple trips without losing their filtered view.
• When a dispatcher double-clicks a Trip Card to assign it manually, the system:
  • No longer refreshes the Driver List.
  • Preserves the active driver or vehicle filter.
  • Allows repeated assignments to the same filtered driver without re-typing or re-filtering.
• The preserved filter now behaves consistently, regardless of whether the filter was applied before or after opening a Trip Card.
• When the dispatcher removes the filter, the system automatically returns to the standard Eligible Driver List, ensuring accurate availability visibility.

This enhancement significantly reduces workflow friction and supports faster, continuous manual assignments during high-volume dispatching periods.

Driver Pane Global Filter Reset Behavior

To maintain consistency across the dispatching interface, the system now appropriately resets the Driver List in response to global filter changes.

What's Improved:

• When dispatchers apply filters on the Driver Pane (Driver or Vehicle) and then change a global filter, the system will:
  • Reset the Driver Pane to reflect the updated global criteria.
  • Ensure the Driver List aligns with the newly applied global search conditions.
