Preferred Driver Configuration, Enforcement & Routing Accuracy Improvements

This release introduces Preferred Driver management in Passenger Profiles, ensures Run Suggestions fully honors those preferences, and resolves incorrect routing behavior in split-shift scenarios. These updates improve rider experience, reduce routing errors, and strengthen dispatcher control.

Key Highlights

Passenger Profile – Set Preferred Driver

Dispatchers can now record and manage passenger-level driver preferences directly within the Passenger Profile.

What's New:

• New Preferences section added alongside Exclusions.
• Add Preferred Driver action allows selection from a dropdown of active drivers.
• Drivers listed in Exclusions are validated against Preferred Driver list.
• Preferred Driver selection is fully persisted and remains visible across refreshes and subsequent profile views.
• Dispatchers can update or change the Preferred Driver at any time.

Run Suggestions – Preferred Driver Enforcement

Run Suggestions now strictly respects the Preferred Driver set on the Passenger Profile, ensuring consistent and accurate automated routing.

What's New:

• Algorithm routes trips only to the Preferred Driver when one is defined.
• If the Preferred Driver is available and eligible, suggested runs assign trips accordingly.
• If the Preferred Driver cannot be used (driver unavailable, excluded, capacity constraints, or other rules), the trip remains unassigned instead of being assigned to an alternate driver.
• Passengers with multiple daily trips receive independent evaluation per trip, with warnings displayed on each trip card when routing fails due to Preferred Driver constraints.

Run Suggestions – Split Shift Handling Fix

We resolved an issue affecting Preferred Driver logic for drivers with split shifts.

What's Improved:

• Run Suggestions now correctly evaluates and applies Preferred Driver routing for drivers with split-shift schedules.
• Eliminates unnecessary dropped nodes and ensures more accurate routing outcomes when preassigned runs involve split-shift drivers.
